Project Elevate is not your typical project management course. You will not be sitting back, listening to a lot of theory and never putting things into practice. You will leave this course transformed as a project leader. Project Elevate covers all of the key skills needed to become a seriously respected project leader. To do this in a short seven weeks, we'll teach you only the critical elements that you can apply and benefit from very quickly. We will help you map the learning to your situation: your industry and your type of projects. You'll put the lessons immediately to use, in your situation, while receiving personal guidance and coaching all along the way. To transform from a Project Manager to a Project Leader, you have to be willing to do the work and practice!


Module 1: How to suceed in non-ideal situations

  • Create a clear vision for the next phase of your career
  • Navigate non-ideal situations using mind-body tools
  • Identify your primary conflict style
  • Understand the benefits and pitfalls of your style
  • Notice your triggers and catch yourself when your style arises
  • Leverage different styles based the situation
  • Visually track your progress


Module 2: Stakeholder Management

  • Identify obvious and non-obvious project stakeholders
  • Communicate with senior executives with confidence
  • Hold successful stakeholder interviews
  • Uncover potential land mines, risks or hidden agendas by practicing skillful listening
  • Develop a strategy map showing how your project supports your organization's (or client's) strategy and/or objectives
  • Use your strategy map to control project scope creep
  • Develop a communication plan for your projects
  • Deal with conflict between stakeholders' different objectives or opinions


Module 3: Working more effectively with others

  • Identify others' primary conflict style
  • Work with other's defenses
  • Know how to speak to others in their language
  • Track primary interactions to improve working relationships
  • Understand people's underlying motivations


Module 4: Build a high-performing team

  • Leverage the inevitable conflict to build a high-performing team
  • Create an environment where people feel safe enough to bring their best selves to the table
  • Lead a team that is both collaborative and productive
  • Estimate task times more reliably


Module 5: Accountability

  • Set up the structures so the team holds themselves accountable
  • Create a common understanding of what accountability means
  • Model accountability to your team
  • Improve the likelihood of people following through on their commitments


Module 6: Visual Project Management

  • Create a visual project plan using Cardsmith
  • Implement agile project execution using a visual Scrum or Kanban board
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders in a clear, concise, visual format
